Baumkuchen with Caramel
This is from Mujirushi Ryohi, which famous MUJI's full name.
Muji has a variety of products, even in some stations.
I even found one in Hong Kong Airport, the definition was in Japanese as long as I remember.
I like their retort pouch foods and cake mix as they're easy to cook and taste quite good.
It's only for one person usually, so it's sometimes helpful when you wanna get lazy for cooking.
Sweets are one of the top products.
They carry out sales for new products or sometimes just to (re-)acctivate the market.
I got this one for "Buy 2, get 10% off" sale.
This one was first time to try and even find.
The blue sticker on the left above says, "It tastes good when it's refrigerated."
Needless to say, I followed the suggetion.
As I wanted to eat it fast, I put it in freezer first then took it out and tried.
This is a slice of baumkuchen (the height: 1 inch or less) covered with caramel containing almond.
So, it's not only sweet but also had nice crisp and fragrance of the nuts.
The nuts was ground finely so you can't have trouble chewing and griding it.
Didn't try the room-temperatured one, so I can't tell which tastes better or hard to decide, but as it's really sweet and still hot outside these days, I highly recommend cool baumkuchen to avoid yacky sticky texture.
It's only 210 JPN (tax included) and 301 calories.

バウム。しかもブリュレ。
ネーミングに食いついた。
そして、「２個買うと１０％オフ」の期間だったので、これと別の商品を購入。
青色のステッカーが示している通りに冷やして食べることに。
すぐ食べたかったので、冷凍庫で一気に冷やしてパクリ。
ひんやりしていて、くどくなく、この暑い季節には冷えてると美味しい！
キャラメルソースにはアーモンドが入っていて、ちょっと香ばしい。
でも細かく砕いてあるからゴツゴツしない。
ちょっとお腹が空いたときや自分へのご褒美に。
