Paw Madeleine From L'atelier Du Sucre

(Japanese follows. /

I saw very cute paw madeleines online and asked my husband to get some for me.
It's called Paw Madeleine (肉球, Nikukyuu) produced by L'atelier du Sucre, and one of the locations is at Tokyo Me+ in Tokyo Meiten-gai at Tokyo Station.
In the showcase, there's a little note that they're currently not making Mini Paw Madeleines and planning to bring them back in January.

Paper bag

My husband got me a set of two Paw Madeleines.

Back
They're expiring in about one week.

Individual pouches of Paw Madeleines.

The bag had footprints.

Even the back side had the footsteps.
One of the ingredients is honey so that it can't be given to an infant under 1 year old.

Paw Madeleine
It's a pink (white chocolate with coloring) paw version.
I thought it's a cat paw but apparently, it's a dog paw.

The madeleine was tall and it's about 3cm (1.18 inch) tall or even taller.

The bottom was quite sticky.

My hand is about 18cm (7.08 inch) and now the Paw Madeleine looks tiny even though it's a large confectionery.

It's about 7cm (2.75 inch) long.

Chocolate version had paws on the pouch, too.
These madeleines had "Slow Calorie Project" and I searched what it was, and they use "palatinose" that is a natural glucide that prevents rapid blood sugar elevation and accumulate of excessive fat.

Pink and Brown paw madeleines.

Each paw was coated with chocolate neatly, and there's no part that was missing the chocolate or the cake was seen-through.

My first impression was how big and heavy the madeleine was, but it's so moist, dense (in a good way), also slightly flakey and I was glad to be able to eat this humongous paw shaped madeleines.
In NYC, I don't think I can find this kind of madeleine for the same price with the same quality.
Both cakes tasted the same and I'm pretty sure the only difference was the chocolate.
They're not only cute but very tasty, and I'd love to eat them again.
Paw Madeleines (Gift Set): 660 yen (before tax)
