Black Bean Salt Daifuku From Shiroikuro

(Japanese follows. /

Shiroikuro is in Azabujuban and they're famous for Japanese confectioneries made with black beans.
Shiroikuro (しろいくろ) literally means "white colored black," that doesn't really exist but I thought it's an interesting name.
Last time I visited, the store was closed for summer vacation and luckily this time, I could try the sweets.

I ordered Black Bean Salt Daifuku and Black Bean Tea, paid and waited at a seat, then the products were served with a hot towel.

Daifuku (大福) is a traditional Japanese confectionery, Wagashi (和菓子) and it's a red bean jam wrapped in mochi (sticky rice cake).
It's a small Daifuku as written on the menu.

As a comparison, this 500yen coin is 26.5mm (1.04 inch) in diameter, thus the Daifuku was about 5cm (1.96 inch) or so.

It's a ball-shaped Daifuku, and the height was about 5cm (1.96 inch) like the diameter.

The mochi was soft and chewy, and there're many large black beans which were smooth and easily broken.
I've never had a Daifuku made with large black beans like this.
The red bean jam paste was lightly sweetened, and I saw black skins in the filing that made me guess that they have used black beans for the filling, too.
The Daifuku was lightly salted and the saltiness enhanced the sweetness of this mini Daifuku.

Black Bean Tea
It's as dark brown as oolong tea, and there're 2 large black beans.
It had roasted and fragrant scent like barley tea and the black beans had some sweetness.
Black Bean Salt Daifuku: 240 yen
Black Bean Tea: 250 yen
