At a supermarket, I found a bag of potato chips called "Shiroebi Potato Chips." 
It's labeled as a limited time product and launched on April 1, 2015 by Tomoshia Holdings Co., Ltd.

On the back, there're explanations about Shiroebi (a.k.a. Shiraebi, Pasiphaea japonica) and this product.
* Shiraebi is a standard Japanese name they say, but I think commonly known as Shiroebi.

On the right side, it's about Shiroebi.
"Shiroebi" is caught in Toyama Bay, and they're small shrimps that have transparent body with pale pink.

On the left side, it's about this potato chips.
"Please enjoy the crispy potato chips that have tasty Shiroebi flavor."

When I opened the bag, I smelled fragrant scent that occurs when shrimps are grilled.

And my first impression of the chips was they looked browner than the ones I'm used to seeing.
The photos on the front shows pale potato chips, so I think these were just coincidentally dark.

The surface was covered with fine powders that had very strong shrimp flavor and saltiness.

First, I tasted shrimps, salt and also something similar to consomme.
Gradually the shrimp flavor disappeared and only strong saltiness was left.
Sweetness of potatoes was hard to taste because of the salty flavor.

スーパーで「白えびポテトチップス」という商品を見つけた。
これはトモシアホールディングス株式会社が2015年4月1日に発売したもので、期間限定と
書かれていた。

裏面には白えびとこの商品の説明が載っていた。
* シラエビが標準和名だけれど、シロエビの方が広く使われていると思う
右側には白えびについて「富山湾で水揚げされる小型のえび、『白えび』は透明で
薄紅色の神秘的な姿をしています。」と書かれていた。
左側はこのポテトチップスについて「白えびの旨みが詰まった風味とポテトのおいしさを
パリッとした食感でお楽しみください。」とあった。

袋を開けると、エビを焼いた時のような香ばしい香りがした。
ポテトチップスを見て、普段見慣れているものよりも茶色が濃いと思った。
ただ、表の写真を見ると淡い色をしているので、たまたま茶色かったのだと思う。

ポテトの表面には細かい粉が付いていて、とても強いエビの香りと塩気があった。
最初はエビ、塩、コンソメに似た味がし、徐々にエビの香りが消えて最後は塩っぱさが
残った。
ポテトの甘さは塩辛さに負け、それほど感じられなかった。
