"Happy" Hot Chocolate From City Bakery
シティベーカリーの「ハッピー」ホットチョコレート

I went to get a special hot chocolate from City Bakery.
It's located near Union Square and it's a bakery, cafe, coffee bar and also cafeteria.
The reason I went there was they're having the 23rd Annual Hot Chocolate Festival from February 1, 2015 till the end of the month.
They serve different flavors while some days are having the same flavors through the month.
Today, the 18th, they're serving "Happy" Hot Chocolate.
When I looked at it, it's very mysterious as there's no description so that it's hard to guess what are used.
I arrived there at 3:40 PM and the 2-story shop was quite busy though it's a weekday and there's a line of 10 people on the right side of the island counter in the center.
When I lined up, an employee asked me what I'd like to get and I asked for one "Happy" Hot Chocolate, then he asked me if I wanted to put a marshmallow, but I said no thank you.
And I was asked if it's here or to-go, and I said for to-go.
Then another employee behind him by a silver pot was pouring hot chocolate into a paper cup.
I received the cup and proceeded to the cash register to pay, and the whole process was very quick like the cafeteria in school.
The cup was blue and the name of the shop was in white and written vertically.
I asked what was in this hot chocolate, and one of the employees said it's a milk chocolate with vanilla beans.
The fie bubbles were rainbow colored and underneath, I saw milk tea colored hot chocolate.
It's very creamy, velvety, sweet and flavorful and I saw lots of vanilla beans in the cup though the scent was very light and delicate that weren't disturbing hot chocolate flavor.
I'm not quite sure what aspect was "happy" but it's very tasty.
I'd love to go try some other flavors before the festival ends.

毎日異なるフレーバーのホットチョコレートを提供し、今日2月18日は「ハッピー」ホット
チョコレートだった。

この「ハッピー」ホットチョコレートは詳細が書かれていないので、何が入っているか
リストを見ただけでは分からなかった。
15時40分にお店に着くと、平日にも関わらず2階建てのお店は混雑し、店内中心にある
カウンターの右側には10人ほどの列ができていた。
列に並ぶと店員に注文を聞かれたので、「ハッピー」ホットチョコレートを1つと伝えた。
すると店内で飲むか持ち帰りか聞かれたので、持ち帰りと答え、マシュマロを乗せるか
聞かれたのでマシュマロは無しでと伝えた。
その店員の後ろにいた別の店員が、銀色の鍋からホットチョコレートを紙カップに入れ、
私はそれを受け取ってレジに進み、会計を済ませた。
全ての行程はスムーズで、学校のカフェテリアのようだった。
カップは青色で、白い文字で店名が縦書きされていた。
店員にこのホットチョコレートに何が入っているか聞くと、ミルクチョコレートとバニラ
ビーンズだと教えてくれた。
細かい泡は虹色で、その下にはミルクティー色のホットチョコレートが入っていた。
このホットチョコレートはとてもクリーミーで濃厚で、甘く、香りの良いものだった。
カップの中には多くのバニラビーンズが見えたけれど、バニラの香りは軽く繊細だった
のでホットチョコレートの風味を邪魔していなかった。
正直「ハッピー」という名前の要素が分からなかったけれど、とても美味しかった。
月末までまだ数日あるので、また別のホットココアを飲みに行ってみたいと思う。

I've no idea what they are but the banana peel, chili pepper, sunken treasure and PB sound interesting. Oh wait, the finale thing too!

削除February is still cold and it's a perfect time to enjoy hot chocolate.
