ガルボミニ ほっくり紫いも
(Japanese follows. / 日本語は以下へ続く。)
"Galbo" is a chocolate snacked produced by Meiji Seika Kaisha, Limited and it's been popular ever sine they launched the snack in 1996.
The characteristic aspect of the snack is that the cookie has very deep chocolate flavor but it keeps crispy texture at the same time.
This is Galbo Mini, and the cookies inside are shorter than regular Galbo.
Meiji launched a limited flavor "Murasaki-Imo" on August 19, 2014.
Murasaki-Imo is yam or purple flesh sweet potato.
Many manufactures produce sweet potato and pumpkin flavored snacks before fall, but yam flavored chocolate was new to me though I had yam flavored ice cream before.
On the back, there's a little explanation of the flavor.
A light-textured cookie soaked in chocolate is covered with purple chocolate mixed with yam powder.
In the box, there's a silver pouch with "Galbo mini" logos in purple.
In the bag, there're shiny Galbo mini with reddish puple dots.
It's about 3cm (1.2 inch) tall and rectangle without sharp corner.
Inside, it's about 1cm (0.4 inch) tall cookie soaked with milk chocolate.
The cookie was light but had soft and slightly chewy texture.
It had sweet chocolate flavor and the purple coating mixed with yam powder had flavorful sweet potato scent which lasted long.
I like regular Galbo, but this Murasaki-Imo flavor provided very fragrant scent and I liked it a lot.

チョコレートの濃い味がするけれど、サクサクした歯ごたえのある食感がある。
