KFC Colonel Crispy Chicken Became Potato Chips
KFCのカーネルクリスピーがポテトチップスになった

Calbee, a Japanese major snack maker, collaborated with KFC again and created "Colonel Crispy Chicken Flavored Chips."
It's launched on January 4, 2014 and will be sold till middle of February.
It's available for such a short period.

In 2012, I tried KFC Umashio Shoga Chicken Chips, which was its first collaborated product and it was good so I was excited to try this new one.

The package shows chips and "Colonel Crispy Chicken" at the bottom.
And also there's a note says, "にんにく醤油が隠し味 (secret seasoning is garlic soy sauce)."

On the back, as same as the first collaborated chips, there's description and also coupon to use at the restaurant.

Colonel Crispy flavored chips: We recreated chips with the popular "Colonel Crispy" flavor.

What's KFC's Colonel Crispy?
It's made with domestic white meat cut into stick-shaped. The secret seasoning is garlic soy sauce and it makes this chicken addictive.

You can get one Colonel Crispy for 30 JPY cheaper.

The chips.
Opening the package, I could smell garlic but not that strong.

It had stronger garlic taste than the scent.
As the garlic taste was deep, I couldn't tell if the saltiness was from soy sauce or just salt.

I haven't tried the Colonel Crispy Chicken so that it's hard to tell if it tastes like the actual product, but this chips were quite good.
But I don't recommend you eat before going out...

カルビーとKFCが共同し、今度は「カーネルクリスピー味」の
ポテトチップスが登場。
2014年1月4日に発売され、2月中旬まで販売予定の期間限定商品。

2012年にコラボ商品第1弾「KFC 旨塩生姜チキン」を食べて美味しかったので、
今回のポテトチップスにも期待大。

袋の下にはポテトチップスと、カーネルクリスピーの写真があり、
さらに「にんにく醤油が隠し味」と書かれている。

裏面には前回のチップスと同じく、元になった商品の説明と
店舗で使えるクーポンが載っている。
カーネルクリスピー味：ケンタッキーフライドチキンで大人気発売中の
「カーネルクリスピー」の味わいを再現したポテトチップスです。

ケンタッキーフライドチキンの「カーネルクリスピー」とは
食べやすいスティック状の国産胸肉を使用しています。
隠し味のにんにく醤油は、何度も食べたくなる味付けです。

カーネルクリスピーが1ピース30円引きになるクーポン付。

袋を開けると、ほんのりにんにくの香りがした。
また、食べてみると香り以上ににんにくの味がした。
ただ、にんにくの味が強くて醤油かどうかは分からない塩味。

元の商品である「カーネルクリスピー」を食べたことがないため
味が似ているかは分からないけれど、このポテトチップスは美味しい。
ただ、にんにくの味と香りが強いので、外出前には食べない方が良さそう。
