(Japanese follows. /
A couple of days ago, I read an article that there's a hot pot restaurant serving meat over Barbie dolls, and as it's in Queens, we went to try the spot with friends.
It's called Niu Pot 牛火锅, and I think Niu in this case means beef, and the last 3 Chinese characters means beef hot pot.
As it's seen a lot on various sites, we made a reservation on Saturday, and as it's still early, the restaurant had another group besides us.
Menu
Besides hot pot, they had grilled items like meat and vegetables on skewers, too.
We got a large pot of Yuan Yang Broth for 4 people.
It's a USDA Prime Short Ribs, and this is the only kind that comes with the Barbie doll I assume.
The Barbie had a carnation and she had a silver bag on the right hand.
Each shoulder had a slice of meat and a meat was wrapping around the waste, and it really looked like an actual dress as the layers of meat were beautifully places.
I felt in a way perverted by taking off the meat because it's technically undressing the doll.

Vegetables and Mushrooms Combination (small)
There're lotus, pumpkins, daikon radish, corns, shiitake mushrooms, trumpet mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, Chinese cabbage and lettuce.
They're all fresh and I didn't find any black or dried parts, and I think they cut them to order.
Lamb
Besides these, we ordered Prime Rib Eye, House Fried Tofu, Prime Chuck Roll, Watercress, Tofu, Taiwan Noodles and Green Tea Ice Cream.
Fried Tofu was rolled pieces, and they're to put in the hot pot to let them absorb the soup.
(My husband ate it as is, and he said, "It's definitely NOT to eat without putting in the pot.)
Green Tea Ice Cream was listed as "Japanese Ice Cream," but it tasted like one of those matcha ice cream sold in the states.
The outside, inside, dipping sauce station, bathroom and furnitures were all clean, and I thought the portion for the price was pretty good, and so was the flavor.
Especially the spicy broth was really good, and the meat had good portion of red and fat, the latter of which melted nicely in the pot.
And the vegetables were fresh, too, and it's a small size (18 dollars, versus 39 dollars for large) but as we had 3-4 plates of meat, it's perfect to share among 4 adults.
Overall, I was very happy about this place.
