Traditional Poutine From Mikes

Mikes is a restaurant in Complexe Desjardins in Place des Arts, and it's my first time to dine in.
The vast space was dim and only 10% of the tables was taken, and a group of employees with "I'm so bored" expression was watching TV and relaxed.

They had 3 kinds of poutines and I got a Traditional.

Traditional Poutine

Fries were pale.

The fries were slightly thicker than what McDonald's uses.
The pieces without gravy were crispy.

There're large pieces of cheese curds, but none was squeaky and they're all soft and I didn't have to chew.

The gravy sauce was close to beige and light, and it didn't have starchy texture.
It's very salty and had bitterness similar to celery.

Place des ArtsのComplexe Desjardins内にあるマイクスというお店に初めて入った。

広い店内は薄暗く、全体の1割ほどしか席が埋まっておらず、暇そうな店員がテレビを

見ながらくつろいでいた。

プーティンは3種類あり、トラディショナルを頼んだ。

トラディショナル プーティン

ポテトは淡い色に揚がっていた。

マクドナルドのポテトよりも少し太い程度の、細めのポテト。
グレイビーがかかっていない部分はサクサクしていた。

大きなチーズカードもあったけれど、歯応えのあるものは1つもなく、全て柔らかく、
噛まないでも食べられた。

グレイビーソースはベージュに近い薄い色でさらっとし、あまりとろみがなかった。
このグレイビーはかなり塩辛く、セロリのような苦味もあった。
