Kookie Monster From Donut Crazy

At 2 AM last night, I found good looking donuts on Instagram and found out the name and the location of the shop.
It's called Donut Crazy in Bridgeport, CT. <-- They have 2 other locations in Connecticut.
Today, we drove there to get some donuts.
The shop was just opened this April and the shop was bright, and it's shared with Nom Eez, a pho shop.
We love pho and next time, we gotta try the pho AND more donuts for sure.
One of the donuts we're interested in was S'mores, but the rack was empty so that we got some others.
The staff put the donuts nicely in the box.
Maybe the box can hold up to 6 donuts as each donut was quite large; ring donuts were about 12cm (4.72 inch) in diameter and 3cm (1.18 inch) tall, and the round/filled donuts were 10cm (3.93 inch) in diameter and 5cm (1.96 inch) tall.

Kookie Monster
I think the spelling "Kookie Monster" is because of the copyright (Cookie Monster from Sesame Street) like Oleo from Meow Parlour, but it's definitely inspired by that blue hairy character as the icing was blue with a bit of white and topped crushed chocolate chip cookies.

It's a fluffy yeast donut, and the icing was not too sweet.
The chocolate chip cookies were crispy and they tasted like Chips Ahoy! cookies.
The donut was one of the best I've had and I'll definitely come here again.

昨晩の午前2時、インスタグラムでとても美味しそうなドーナツの写真を見て、店名と
店舗の場所を調べたところ、コネチカット州ブリッジポートにあるドーナツ クレイジーと
いうお店だった。（同州に他に2店舗あり）
早速今日、ドーナツを買いに行ってきた。
お店は今年の4月にオープンしたばかりのようで、店内は明るく、フォーのお店「ノム
イーズ」とスペースを共有していた。
私たちはフォーも好きなので、次回はフォーを食べ、ドーナツも買いたいと思う。
気になっていたドーナツの1つはスモアズだけれど、棚は空っぽだったので他のドーナツを
買った。
店員は綺麗に箱に詰めてくれた。
各ドーナツは大きかったので、恐らく1箱に6個を詰めるのが限界だと思う。
リングドーナツの直径は約12センチ、高さは3センチほどで、丸いフィリング入りのものは
直径が約10センチ、高さは5センチほどあった。
左上から時計回りにレッドフォックス、ヌッテラ、パトリオット、クッキーモンスターと
いうドーナツ。
クッキーモンスター
札にはCookie MonsterではなくKookie Monsterと書かれていて、これはミャウ パーラーの
オレオ（Oleo）と同じく商標権によるため、Kが使われていたのだと思う。
ドーナツを見ると、間違いなくセサミストリートに登場する青い毛のふさふさした、あの
キャラクターをイメージしたものだと簡単に分かる青いアイシングに、白いアイシングが
少しと、砕いたチョコレートチップクッキーがかかっていた。

ふんわりしたイーストドーナツで、アイシングは甘すぎなかった。
チョコレートチップクッキーはサクサクしていて、チップスアホイ！のクッキーに似た
味だった。
これまでに食べたドーナツの中でも美味しいと思ったものの1つで、間違いなく再訪する
予定。
