Having a couple of hours left in California, we went to look for breakfast.
However, either the restaurants didn't have the specific item I wanted or the line was too long, we kept driving.
At one point, my husband spotted a little donut shop called "Royal Pin Donuts" on El Camino Real.

I didn't find much information about it, but it's a family operated donut shop.

Many kinds of donuts and other baked goods were in the showcase.

They had several kinds of teas.

I got Old Fashion, Old Fashion with Chocolate and Plain Square Donut one each.
(I'm not sure what exactly they call them as there's no name plate.)

Old Fashion
The looks was similar to an Old Fashion sold at Mister Donuts, and that is my favorite type of Old Fashion.

From the side, I could see the perfect golden brown color.

Outside had light crispiness and the inside was moist, and it's softer than it looked.

It had some cinnamon and nutmeg scent like Donut Delight and I don't understand why it's called "plain."

カリフォルニアで数時間のこっていたので、朝ご飯を食べに行くことにした。
ただ、どのお店も私が食べたかったものがなかったり、列が長かったりして諦め、ずっと
運転していた。
旦那がエル カミノ レアル通りにある小さなドーナツ屋「ロイヤル ピン ドーナツ」を偶然
見つけ、ここに行ってみることにした。

家族経営のドーナツ屋であること以外、情報が見つからなかった。
ショーケースにはドーナツや他の焼き菓子が並べられ、茶葉も数種類あった。
名札が付いていなかったので正確な名前は分からないけれど、オールドファッション、
オールドファッションのチョコレートがけ、プレーン スクエア ドーナツを1個ずつ
買った。

オールドファッション
私の大好きなオールドファッションはミスター ドーナツのもので、見た目はそれにとても
よく似ていた。
横から見ると美味しそうな黄金色をしていた。
外側は少しサクッとして内側はしっとりし、想像していたよりも柔らかかった。
これもドーナツデライトのようにシナモンやナツメグの香りがし、なぜこれがプレーンと
呼ばれるのか分からなかった。
