Polinky Melon Pan's Crust Flavor

On May 4, 2015, Koikeya launched a new Polinky flavor called "Melon Pan's Crust Flavor."
Polinky was first launched in 1990 and has been a famous snack.
It's a triangle shaped corn snack with woven patterns.
They have sweet corn flavor and seasoned cod roe flavor, and this is the newest one.
Melon Pan is a sweet bun topped with biscuit that has criss-cross patterns look like a melon.
3 characters are holding a melon pan's biscuit, and the bubble says, "mesh and crispy!"
In red, it says that they've recreated melon pan's crust with Polinky.
On the back.
On the left side.
We recreated melon pan's crust with Polinky's characteristic crispy texture and mesh patterns.
We also copied the essential sweetness of melon pan.
Please enjoy melon pan's crust flavor Poliky.
On the right side, there's a "maze of melon pan."
You'll see something if you could go through the maze perfectly.
This is the answer and it's the outline of the character.
It had sweet scent yet corn flavor was stronger.
The triangle shape and the woven patterns were the same as ordinary Polinky

There's a hollow space inside so that the snack was light and crispy.
It had sweet melon pan and butter flavors, and artificial melon scent stayed in my mouth.
It had the characteristic corn snack flavor and for the first several pieces, it's hard for me to imagine melon pan, but gradually I became used to it and it's like "If you say it's a melon pan flavor, I kind of get it" taste.
The image I have in Polinky is salty, and sweet flavor was weird.
To be honest, it's not that tasty but not as bad as inedible.

2015年5月4日にコイケヤからポリンキーの新フレーバー「メロンパンの皮風」が発売
された。
ポリンキーは1990年に発売されて以来人気の商品で、網目模様の三角形をしたコーン
スナック。
「あっさりコーン」と「ピリうまめんたい」の2フレーバーがある。
ポリンキーのキャラクターがメロンパンの皮を持ち上げて「アミアミでサクサク！」と
吹き出しがついていた。
また、赤色の文字で「メロンパンの皮をポリンキーで表現しました」と書かれていた。
裏面の左側には商品説明が載っていた。

メロンパンのおいしさを際立たせるのは、表面の編み目模様とサクサク食感！
それがメロンパンの皮！
そのメロンパンの皮を、ポリンキーの特徴であるサクサク食感とアミアミの形状で表現
しました。
メロンパン本来の甘い風味も再現したメロンパンの皮風なポリンキーをお楽しみ下さい。
右側には「メロンパンの皮迷路」があり、うまくゴールすると何かが見えるらしい。
見えてくるものはポリンキーのキャラクターの輪郭だった。
袋を開けると甘い香りがしたものの、トウモロコシの香りの方が強かった。
編み模様の三角形は、通常のポリンキーと同じだった。
中が空洞になっているためサクサクした軽い食感だった。
甘いメロンパンとバターの香りがし、後味は人工的なメロン香料が口に残った。
コーンスナック特有の味があり、最初の数個はメロンパンを想像しにくかったけれど、
徐々に慣れてきて「言われてみればメロンパン」という印象だった。
ポリンキーは塩っぱいイメージがあるので、甘いのは不思議に感じた。
正直それほど美味しくもないけれど、食べられないほど不味くはなかった。
