Green Curry From Amaze 82

We try different restaurants when we order delivery, and we ordered some food from Amaze 82 on Amsterdam Ave.
It's categorized as Chinese, Japanese and Sushi. --- I though sushi was a part of Japanese, so I'm surprised to see the labeling on a delivery site.

Here's another weird thing, I chose Thai Green Curry even though it's not listed as a Thai food restaurant.
It's marked as "spicy" but I didn't think it's gonna be hot enough, so I asked to make it "very very spicy" in an additional request box.

And this is their Thai Green Curry with a cup of rice.

It didn't look like a soupy curry at all as it's stored in a flat tray, and I did a double take.

The color wasn't even close to green but it's yellow ocher with literally some liquid on the very bottom of the tray.

Besides ridiculously large and many chickens, there're bamboo shoots, eggplants, green peppers, onions and some fried tofu.

There's no space to put rice in the flat tray so I used a bowl and put some rice and curry, which should be called "stir-fried vegetable with yellow curry" as there's not enough soup.

Though I asked for "very very spicy," it wasn't spicy at all.

Onions and green peppers were still slightly crunchy, which I liked, and many of bamboo shoots were quite large and not a bite-size.

Fried tofu absorbed curry and it's tasty.

All the chicken pieces were white meat but they had gooey, chewy and weird texture as if I had been eating chewing gums or rubber gloves.

I couldn't believe these were chickens, and after a first bite, I took all the pieces out and put them aside like below.

I thought just my choice wasn't smart, Thai food from Chinese, Japanese and Sushi restaurant, but my husband's order (general tao chicken) was also inedible served with the same weird flabby chicken.
We simply put this restaurant to "never again" list in our heads.

デリバリー注文する時は色々なお店を試すことにしていて、今回はアムステルダム通りの
アメイズ82というお店を選んだ。
インターネットのデリバリーサイトを見ると「中華、和食、寿司」というカテゴリーに
入っていて、寿司は和食なのに「寿司」という独立した枠があって不思議だった。

タイ料理に分類されてはいなかったけれど、タイグリーンカレーを注文してみた。
「辛口」と書かれていたけれど辛くないだろうと思い、メモ欄に「激辛にして下さい」と
書いた。

タイグリーンカレーは白米が付いて来たのだけれど、平らなタッパーに収められていて
スープのようなシャバシャバ感はなく、思わず二度見した。
しかも色はグリーンからはほど遠い黄土色で、かろうじてタッパーの底に液体が見えた。
カレーの具材は大量の大きな鶏胸肉に加え、タケノコ、ナス、ピーマン、タマネギ、
揚げ豆腐だった。

トレーにはご飯を入れる余裕がなさそうだったので、ボウルにご飯とカレーを入れた。
ただ、これはカレーと言うには汁気が少なすぎるので「野菜炒め イエローカレー添え」と
いう表現が相応しいと思った。

「激辛で（very very hot）」と書いたけれど、やはり全然辛くなかった。
タマネギとピーマンは少しシャキシャキした歯応えが残っていて美味しく、タケノコは
一口サイズよりはかなり大きな状態だった。
揚げ豆腐はカレーを吸っていて美味しかった。

鶏肉は全て胸肉だったけれど、グニュグニュした食感でガムやゴム手袋を噛んでいるかの
ような食感でかなり気持ちが悪かった。
鶏肉とは思えない歯触りで、一口食べ後は全て鶏肉を取り除いた。

中華、和食、寿司と書かれたレストランからタイ料理を注文したのが失敗だったのかと
思ったけれど、旦那が注文した中華（ジェネラル タオ チキン）も同じブヨブヨの鶏肉が
使われていて食べられたものではなかったので、単にこのお店がはずれだった。
