Lunch Pack Collection:

Peanut

Everyone's fave, peanut.

This is one of the oldest flavor and best-selling flavor.

It's sold over 71 million pieces so far in total.

Tasty and smooth paste between soft bread.

Lunch Pack Collection:
Pork Curry

Onions give some sweetness to the pork curry.

Microwave it, so damn good!
Lunch Pack Collection:

Japanese-Style Broth Curry Udon

For the broth, it contains soy sauce, konbu (kelp/seaweed), and bonito.

Udon is a type of noodle made from hard wheat flour.

It's actually quite good.

Enjoyed the short and soft udon plus bonito flavor.
Lunch Pack Collection:
Miso Katsu (Chicken Cutlet with Miso-based Sauce)

Miso is a traditional Japanese seasoning produced by fermenting rice, barley and soy beans.

Also salt and fungus (called 麹菌/Kouji-kin) are in it.

It looks like peanut butter paste (thick and brownish color) but salty.

Didn't like it... No miso taste, no miso flavor or no chicken texture!

Lunch Pack Collection:
Nyoho Strawberry (女峰苺) Jam & Whipped Cream
Limited time edition.

This strawberry jam is not too sweet like other one, so I liked it.

However, whipped cream was a bit mushy/not soft enough to be called whipped, I think.

Anyway, it tasted best among strawberry jam Lunch Pack or any strawberry jam so far (as of January 8, 2012).

I'd give 7 points for this limited edition one!
Lunch Pack Collection:
Corn Potage Flavor
The filling contained actual corn in white sauce.

Toasted one tasted way better than the cold one.

I wish they had used smooth corn soup filling instead of thick weird white sauce.
Lunch Pack Collection:
Apple Cream & Whipped Cream
Smells like artificial apple but not too sweet and a bit sour.

Goes well with whipped cream.

Could be a nice dessert.

It might have tasted better when it's cold.
Lunch Pack Collection:
Pizza Sauce & Cheese
Minced meat and onion are in the sauce with sliced cheese.

Put in toaster, cheese melted and tasted good.
Lunch Pack Collection:
Tokyo X Minced Cutlet
"Tokyo X" is a Tokyo's brand pork.

It took 7 years to produce this pork by combining Berkshire (English black pork), Beijing Black Pork (indeed from China) and Duroc (American red pork).

They feed high-fiber bran and legume plants in order to relieve intestinal ailments so that the pork will have sweetness in fat.
Lunch Pack Collection:

Custard & Apple Cream

The custard is using fresh cream from Hokkaido and the cream contains apple fluid/juice.

Sweet custard and a little bit sour apple flavor went well together.

7 points out of 10.

Nice breakfast.

Yamazaki Gourmet Box:
PIZZA-LA Italian Basil
They collaborated with PIZZA-LA and used the pizza sauce for this.

The sauce is used for Italian Basil, PIZZA-LA's popular pizza.

It's really good!

Cheese was melted when I heated.

It's high calories, 221kcal, but still yummy.
Lunch Pack Collection:
Tomato Pizza
The tomato sauce contains 2.2% of Amela, which is a type of tomato containing high sugar content.

A strong tomato flavor came out after opening the package.

I put in a toaster but the cheese wasn't melted unfortunately :(

If the cheese was softer, it'd have tasted like pizza.

Had a basil in it so it's more like tomato sauce for spaghetti.

I'd suggest to heat it for 20 seconds or so in microwave, then toast it.

That would probably let the cheese melt without burning the bread.
Lunch Pack Collection:
Yokosuka Marine Curry
It's a beef curry filling lunch pack.

The curry was a kind of yellow.

A hint of spiciness, so I think the target is adult, not sweet-curry-lovers.

They used Marine Cooking Study Guide as a reference to create this curry.

It'd have tasted better if it's warm.
Lunch Pack Collection:
Smooth Chocolate Cream
A little bit bitter milk chocolate cream.

The slight bitterness lets you enjoy the piece without getting sick of the sweetness.
Lunch Pack Collection:
Char Siu (Chinese-Style Barbecued Pork)
Supervised by (東園)To-en, a Chinese restaurant in Yokohama China Town.

Chopped char siu soaked into sweet-spicy sauce.

It's tasty when it's hot.

The package says "sweet-spicy sauce" yet it needs more spiciness; it was just sweet.

Wish the meat inside was bigger chunk instead of ground pork.

Lunch Pack Collection:
Beef Stew (Curry Flavor)
Cooked with onions and produced curry taste.

A little bit different curry flavor from the regular curry rice.

It was less spiced but mild dashi (broth) tasted curry.
Lunch Pack Collection:
Yokote Yakisoba (B-grade Gourmet)

Another B-grade gourmet yakisoba.

Yakisoba and eggs are used as filling.

This dish is from Yokote city in Akita prefecture.

Recommended by the Yokote Yakisoba Association.
Lunch Pack Collection:
Smooth Custard
This custard cream was really soft and mellow.

Not too sweet nor heavy.

Be careful when you eat this as the cream is so soft.
Yamazaki Gourmet Box:
Velvety Demiglace Hamburg
Heated in microwave and it was exactly "a hamburg in a bun."

Unfortunately, the hamburg absorbed the sauce.

Though this package says mellow sauce is inside, I wouldn't say such velvety sauce was inside.

I'd grade this as 5 out of 10.
Lunch Pack Collection:
Sweet Bean Paste & Margarine
Mmm, it's not my favorite even thou I like sweet bean paste.

I wish they contained more sweet bean paste and less margarine.
Lunch Pack Collection:
Maple & Margarine
Uses maple syrup from Canada as a part of the filling.

Margarine was a little bit too much.

Next time, I'll toast this so that the margarine would melt and mix with the maple filling well.
Yamazaki Gourmet Box:
Juicy Beef Carubi
Carubi is Korean-style beef rib.

It's good when it's hot.

Soft and sweet/salty sauce with tender beef.
Lunch Pack Collection:
Minced Cutlet
It tasted fine but the cutlet inside was a bit dried out...

It needs more sauce to take it consider that the bread and also the cutlet would absorb the sauce while sitting on the lack.
Lunch Pack Collection:
Blue Mountain Coffee Cream

Sweeter than I thought.

It tasted like cafe au lait.

This contains 0.6% of Blue Mountain Coffee in the filling.

There's a note on the left side says that the dark spots in the cream are derived from coffee.
Lunch Pack Collection:
Roasted Peanuts (with Grained Peanuts)
Nice chunks of peanuts in a smooth peanuts cream.

I like the brown printed peanut stamp on the bread.

This is only available at conbini (convenience stores).

3/26/2012

Lunch Pack Collection:
Strawberry Jam & Margarine
It may have tasted good when the margarine was melted.

When I had this, the margarine was sort of hard and too heavy/fatty.

It could have possibly made me sick due to the too-rich texture.
Yamazaki Gourmet Box:
Yoshinoya Beef Bun
Yamazaki produced this collaborating with 吉野家 / Yoshinoya, the popular beef bowl chain.

They used Yoshinoya's well-known sauce to cook the beef till it gets tender.

I microwaved this and it was like a pork bun (but yes, beef inside).
Lunch Pack Collection:
Wild Blueberry Jam & Margarine

The margarine has a bit of salty taste so that it goes well with the sweet blueberry jam.

When it's toasted, it might have been better.

Yet, I'd prefer whipped cream with it.
Lunch Pack Collection:

Fried Chicken with BBQ Sauce

Thin fried chicken with black pappered breading.

BBQ sauce was sweet one.

Regardless of the the thin-flat chicken, one piece filled me up.

When it's hot, tastes better. (I tried.)
Lunch Pack Collection:

Nectar Peach Cream & Whipped Cream

Co-developed with Fujiya to create its famous "nectar" flavor.

Fresh and some sort of yogurt-ish taste.
Lunch Pack Collection:
Veggie Curry & Cheese Cream

The curry, under the supervision of CoCo壱番屋/Coco-Ichibanya, was medium spicy (hint of spice) and as I microwaved, the cheese was melted and tasty.

The package says that large diced vegetables in curry with cheese cream, but I couldn't feel any chunk of the vegetables :(

So my evaluation is 7.5 out of 10.
Lunch Pack Collection:
Strawberry Flesh Jam & Whipped Cream
It uses sweet jam.

I'd prefer more chunks in it as the label says "strawberry flesh."

I thought it'd contain more resilient pulps in this.

I'd rate this 6 out of 10.
