Konopizza

It is located in Nishi-Shinjuku, on the Ome-Kaido.
Konopizza is a name of pizza place but it's not the regular, flat, or the ones we're used to see and order.
When you see the display, you wonder if you can call it as pizza since it looks like ice cream cone.

You may wonder why they use cone or if it tastes good.
According to the homepage, they created this pizza to enables us use only one hand and eat it easily.
To my surprise, the origin is in Italy back in 2004 and now it's spreading out worldwide.
The head office radically controls the quality and the cooking skils, so they provide the dough to the branches.
They even have patent of this product.

When we set an order (I ordered anchovy), they stuff the ingredients in the cone and use the special oven to finish it up.
The pizza will be served as if it's an ice cream as it's set in a metal holder wrapped in napkin.

It looks like... pizza in a cone as it is.
It tastes like regular pizza.
The crust (or should I say "cone?") is not super thin like Milano pizza, but still it was crispy like ice cream waffle cone.

As eating it, you won't see any empty spot in the cone. It's fully stuffed to the bottom.
And amazingly, they put sauce, topping, cheese, and go back to sauce, topping, then cheese.
Thus you won't get sick of eating sauce only after you finish eating the top part.

They also have salads, french fries and desserts.
The onion ring's batter was really thin and it's light and crispy.
I've eaten onion rings in various places but I think right now, my favorite is this Konopizza's onion ring.

Desserts are using the same cone as pizza and they have creme brulee, mango ice cream, mix fruits and some others.
Same as the pizza, the content alternates mango and ice cream, whipped cream plus mango sauce.

It's located in a little bit hard to find but clean, the service was nice and tasted good, so I'd like to go back and try other pizzas and of course the different sweets.

  2. Toda raba.
I like it because it's light and crispier than regular shops; thin batter not using panko.

I wanna go back when it's not raining hard or I'm not too tired.
