Cream Cheesecake
Lately, Japanese convenience stores' sweets are getting popular and have better quality.
Famous patissiers take part in the project and advise how to create new and original sweets.
As it's sold at conbini (abbreviation of convenience stores in Japanese), it can't be as expensive dessert as those ones served at restaurant or fancy sweets shops, however, consumers expect decent (or sometimes high) quality to the cheap price.
So, to me, it makes sense that some conobini original sweets are made not only by machines but also are finished up by hand.
This cream cheesecake from Seven Eleven was a little bit smaller than adults' palm.
It has rich taste as it contains cream cheese, as the product name is, but thanks to a hint of lemon, it's barely gives you sick feeling to finish this small cheesecake.
When we hear cheesecake, most of us would imagine plain cheesecake or strawberry sauce covered humongous cheesecake ON the plate and eat WITH folk.
From my prospective, more than half of the conbini sweets require you some cutlery to enjoy them (unless you eat by hand and wanna make a mess).
But what convenient of this cheesecake is;
*Small
*No need to use plate or folk
*Tasty
*Decent amount
*Cheap ---138 JPY
*301 kcal ---not so high calorie
*Stored at normal temperature ---but I put in fridge till I ate
(I'm guessing that according to where I found this = on a shelf with breads)
This cheesecake was delicious enough by itself but if I get a chance, I'd like to place it on a nice plate, use fresh fruits, fruit sauce, whipped cream or chocolate sauce (or all of them) to decorate and arrange to make "customized original sweet."

機械で土台をつくって、手作業で仕上げをする商品もチラホラ。
有名なパティシエとのコラボも当たり前。
美味しいのに、ちゃんと「コンビニ価格」を維持。
これは、セブンイレブンのクリームチーズケーキ。
お皿もフォークも使わないケーキを初めて見たような気がする。
常温保存可能なのか、パンと同じ棚に陳列（私は食べるまで冷蔵庫で冷やした）。
大きさは手のひらより少し小さい。
開封するといい香りがふわっとする。
クリームチーズがしっかり味わえ、洋菓子店で買うようなレモンの風味もほんのり。
洗い物を出さずにケーキを食べたいときは、こういうお菓子がいい！

返信削除Usually, most of the cake hits like 500 or so as they're served pretty large size IN THE STATES. I miss that a lot.
