Josephine La Poutine is in the food court area of Complexe Desjardins.

I got a small poutine and it's served so much that the lid of the container was hardly closed.

Any single corner or space was missed to put the fries.

Despite the small sizes of cheese curds, they're quite squeaky and it's a good surprise.

They used thick fries and they're lightly crispy but I wish they're darker and crunchier.
The gravy sauce was classic and milk, and it's not too salty like other quick-service chains.

As I got a mountain of poutine served with squeaky curds and traditional gravy sauce, and I was ok with the subtly-crispy fries since it's only 5 dollars.

ジョセフィーヌ・ラ・プーティンはコンプレックス・デジャルダンのフードコートに
入っている。

Sサイズを注文すると、容器に収まらんばかりのプーティンが詰め込まれ、蓋が閉められ
ないほどだった。

隙間がないほど詰められたプーティン。

チーズカードは小さいものの、歯ごたえがしっかりあって驚いた。

太いポテトはサクッとした食感が少しあっただけで、もっとカリッとするまで揚がって
いたら良かった。
グレイビーソースはクラシックで食べやすい味で、他のクイックサービスチェーンと
比べると、塩辛さがなくて良かった。

キュキュッとしたチーズカードと伝統的なグレイビーソースが使われたプーティンが
山のように入っていて、ポテトの食感がいまひとつだったものの、5ドルなら十分だと
思えるプーティンだった。

When I'm in Montreal, I try to go get poutines from places that I've not been to yet.
Last time, we went La Cage in Complexe Desjardins for the first time.

It's a beerhall and ports bar, and you can get popcorns on your own from a popcorn cart in the bar.

They have some poutines and we got one Classic.

They also have Buffalo Chicken and BBQ Pulled Pork toppings.

On a large plate, there're golden fries and a lot of cheese curds.

Chunky cheese curds had squeakiness though they're covered in the warm gravy sauce.

Thick, golden brown fries looked good but I was disappointed that they didn't have crispiness as they're smothered in the sauce.

The gravy had peppery kick to it instead of sweetness or any meat stock flavor, and I thought it might have been designed to go well with alcohols.
The gravy was smooth, velvety and not too starchy, so the texture was something I like but to me, the pepper was too strong.

モントリオールに行くと、これまでに行ったことがないお店のプーティンを食べるように
している。
前回行った時は、コンプレックス・デジャルダンにあるラ・ケージに行った。

このお店はビアホール、スポーツバーで、店内にはセルフサービスのポップコーン
カートがあり、無料で食べられる。

いくつかプーティンがあったので、クラシックを注文した。

この他に、バッファローチキン、BBQプルドポークをトッピングしたものもある。

大きなお皿に黄金色のポテトと、たっぷりのチーズカードが乗っていた。

ゴロゴロしたチーズカードは、温かいグレイビーソースがかかっていたにもかかわらず、
キュキュッとした歯ごたえがあった。

茶色に揚がった太いポテトは美味しそうだったけれど、グレイビーソースに埋もれていた
ため、サクサクした食感は全然なかったのが残念。

グレイビーソースは胡椒のピリッとした味が強く、甘さや動物性の出汁の風味は感じ
られず、アルコール飲料に合わせた味にしてあるのかもしれない。
グレイビーソースは滑らかで、べったりと重たくなく、私の好きな食感だったものの、
胡椒が少し強すぎた。
