Sakura Matcha Latte From Tully's
タリーズのSAKURA抹茶ラテ

On March 22, 2017, Tully's launched Sakura flavored items only in 23 wards in Tokyo, named "Edo Sakura Matsuri" for a limited time.
Edo was what Tokyo was called before and Matsuri means festival.
The board showed Sakura Tea Cappuccino, Sakura Matcha Latte and Waffle Sandwich Sakura Strawberry.
Both drinks were Tall size only and I got a hot Sakura Matcha Latte.
Under the lid, there're whipped cream, sakura sauce and sakura flavored shaved chocolate.
When I had a sip, the whipped cream sunk and I saw the dark Uji Matcha underneath.
The more I drank, the more whipped cream fell into the matcha.
Matcha flavor and bitterness were quite vivid, and sakura sauce and chocolate had light sakura flavor.
The chocolate was thin and crispy, and once they fell into the matcha, they melted away.
When I mixed the whole toppings, the latte became slightly creamier and paler.
It's one of the bitterest matcha drinks I've had from non-matcha specialized shops and I wish they kept this drink as a regular menu.

Halloween Pumpkin Latte
2017年3月22日、タリーズから東京23区限定で「お江戸さくら祭」と称したさくら味の
商品が期間限定発売された。
ボードにはSAKURAティーカプチーノ、SAKURA抹茶ラテ、ワッフルサンドSAKURA
ストロベリーが載っていた。
どちらの飲み物もトールサイズのみで、私はSAKURA抹茶ラテのホットを頼んだ。
蓋を取るとホイップクリーム、桜のソース、桜風味のチョコレートが乗っていた。
一口飲むとホイップクリームが沈み、濃い宇治抹茶が見えた。
さらに飲むとまたクリームが崩れ落ちた。
抹茶の香りや苦味がしっかりとあり、桜ソースとチョコレートから桜の香りがした。
チョコレートは薄くてパリパリし、抹茶にすぐ溶けてしまった。
全てのトッピングを混ぜると、ラテはほんの少しクリーミーになり淡い色になった。
抹茶専門店ではないお店で飲んだ抹茶ドリンクの中で、抹茶の味が最も濃いものの1つで、
通年メニューにしてもらいたいほどほだった。
