I recently saw that Shake Shack in Dubai was serving Dubai Chocolate Shake, and I was hoping it'd someday come to the states, and that actually happened much quicker than I had thought of.

At select locations of Shake Shack in NY, CA and FL, they're serving a limited quantity of Dubai Chocolate Shake.

The most convenient location for me wasn't listed and I decided to go to Columbus Circle after taking a 60-minute barre class.

When I got to the restaurant, it's at 10:56am on Tuesday, only one customer was sitting at the table and no one else.

At the pick-up counter, there's a little advertisement of Dubai Chocolate Shake, but it's not loudly presented in my opinion.

The kiosk on the left side was where you're supposed to order and pay.

When I chose "shake," the Dubai Chocolate Shake was on the left top with "25 per day" label.

It was 8.49 dollars, I believe it's before tax.

I waited at a table, and a staff brought me the product.

When I asked if he had tried the shake, he said yes but it's ok because he's not a chocolate person but he also said that others had really liked it.

According to the little ad at the counter, it's made with real pistachio frozen custard and toasted kataifi shredded phyllo in a crackable dark chocolate shell. 

* Kataifi, kadayıf, kadayıfı, etc so many ways to spell and I have no idea which spelling is the correct or most popular.

The whole cup was coated evenly with dark chocolate, and I believe they can't make it to order since the chocolate shell needs to be set firm in a refrigerator to make it crackable.

Now the shell is broken and I could see marble patterns in the cup.

Though I gently squeezed the cup to crash the shell, the topping stayed as it's served.

It really tasted like Dubai Chocolate thanks to the crispy kadayif on top, and also the crunchy crushed chocolate inside the cup that I just squeeze-rushed made it resemble the actual Dubai chocolate bar well.

The pistachio frozen custard was not too rich, and to me, it almost tasted like vanilla frozen custard because of the actual pistachio nuts and fragrant kadayif pieces.

I'm not a fan of dark chocolate usually, but the frozen custard was sweet so that it didn't taste like dark chocolate, almost like milk chocolate.

One drawback would be that I recalled need to suck hard since lots of chunks of the ingredites get stuck in the straw, and at one point, I gave up on the straw and had to used a spoon to scoop the tastiness.

When the content went down below about a quarter line from the bottom, there's no way to "drink" this shake.

The bottom looked like a chocolate coin as it's not moving at all.

With spoon, I could scrape off the dark chocolate shell from the cup even more and enjoy all the leftovers at the bottom, except the chocolate at the bottom.

Even with a stainless spoon, I couldn't get all the chocolate off, but there's already enough chocolate so that it's not an issue for me.

This Dubai Chocolate Shake is only available for a limited time, and only at select locations, not nationwide.

Around 11:10am, more customers came in but no one seemed to be ordering the Dubai Chocolate Shake, and maybe you'll have a higher chance to try this treat f you go before noon.

Is it worth trying? Yes.

Is it for milk chocolate lover? Yes.

Is it for non-chocolate person? No, definitely not.
Is it worth 8.49 dollars? Yes --- it's way cheaper than flying to Dubai to try one.

Is it worth offsetting my hour-long workout (burned about 300 calories)? YES, indeed.

いつかアメリカでも販売されないかと思っていたら、期間限定で発売が決まったらしい。

現在、ニューヨーク、カリフォルニア、フロリダの数店舗で、ドバイチョコレートシェイクが

販売されている。

家から近い店舗では提供されていないため、1時間バーエクササイズをした後、コロンバス

サークルの店舗に行ってみることにした。

火曜日の午前10:56頃に着くと、店内には1人だけが着席していた。

受け取りのカウンターに、ドバイチョコレートシェイクの小さな広告が置いてあり、

特に大々的に宣伝しているようには見えなかった。

キオスクで注文する際、「シェイク」の項目を選ぶと左上に商品が現れ、「1日限定25個」と

ラベルが付いていた。

注文後、店員が席まで運んできてくれたので、このシェイクを試したか聞いてみると、

「飲んだけど、まぁまぁかな。私はあまりチョコレートが好きではないので。でも、他の

店員は美味しいと言っていたよ」と答えてくれた。

カウンター上の広告によると、このシェイクは本物のピスタチオ フローズンカスタード

（卵を使ったアイスクリーム）、焼いて砕いたカダイフ麺（麺状の薄いパイ生地のような

お菓子）、割ることができるダークチョコレートシェルが使われているらしい。

カップ全体がダークチョコレートでコーティングされていて、恐らくこのコーティングを作る

には、チョコレートをカップに注いだ後に冷蔵庫でパリパリに固める必要があるので、注文を

受けてから作るのは不可能なのだと思う。

飲んでみると、上に乗ったサクサクのカダイフ麺と、カップを握って崩したチョコレートの

層の食感もあり、本当にドバイチョコレートのような味だった。

ピスタチオフローズンカスタードのアイスは味がそこまでせず、バニラ味かと思うほど

あっさりしていた。

多分、上に乗っていたピスタチオの欠片と香ばしいカダイフ麺の味が前面に出てきていた

からだと思う。

私はそこまでダークチョコレートが好きではないけれど、フローズンカスタードが甘く、

ダークチョコレートの苦味がなく、ミルクチョコレートのような味に感じた。

1つ欠点を挙げるとすると、トッピングが沢山乗っているので、ストローで一生懸命吸い込ま

ないといけないことと、徐々にストローが詰まるのでスプーンが必要なこと。

カップの下から1/4ほどまで中身が減った後は、ステンレスのスプーンで周りに残ったチョコ

レートを削りながら食べた。

このドバイチョコレートシェイクは全米ではなく、数店舗限定・期間限定で販売中。

午前11:10頃にもっとお客さんが入って来たけれど、誰もドバイチョコレートシェイクを注文

していなかったので、正午までに行けば買える可能性が高いと思う。
