Japan Frito Lay produced a weird snack called "Shuwa Shuwa Coke Flavored Corn Snack"

My husband likes Pepsi, Coke, and snacks, and he found this today.

It's "Shuwa Shuwa Coke Flavored Corn Snack" collaborated with Pepsi and it's launched on July 1, 2013.

He knew it'd taste pretty bad however he just bought a bag for us.

I was pretty skeptical about the flavor and taste when I saw this package like, "Would it be salty? Sour? Sweet?" as it says "Coke Flavored Corn Snack."

At the top and back, there's a line 「新感覚 (Shin Kankaku)」 that means nouvelle and new.
「シュワシュワ (Shuwa Shuwa)」 means fizzy or sparkling. 

On the back, there's a detailed description about this snack.
"At the moment you eat this snack, it'll pop and this is a surprising new snack. Please enjoy refreshing and sweet drink, Pepsi flavor."
(I didn't think if I'd enjoy that.)

Opening the bag, as I imagined, I smelled Pepsi flavor as if I had opened a bottle of Pepsi.

It looked regular corn snack they have but the fragrance was just so weird to have it in this bag.
It's covered with black and white fine powder all over.

When I ate a piece, it popped like the description says.
It was actually fizzy and popping like soda and it was sweet like soda.
Yet, saltiness came after the fizz was gone.

It's just so weird. It's pretty awful.
However, after about 5 pieces, my sense or taste got insensible and numb, it didn't taste that bad after all.
I think we had 10 pices altogether, but we don't think we'd ever reopen the bag again.

According to the website, it'll sell till the end of October, 2013.
